LS3 crate motor accessories

for my upcoming k5 blazer build i will be using a brand new LS3 crate motor and crate 6l80e tranny

the brakes will be updated with 4 wheel disc and hyrdo-boost
it will also have a power assisted rack and pinion steering

besides the obvious of going to my local parts store and purchasing new a/c compressor, alternator,,ps/pb pump, pulleys or to the bone yard to "find the needed parts...

oh yeah... after about 1 year i want to put in the "gm"(same as camero) supercharger so that needs to be thought of as well.

is the a vendor that would have a kit of some kind? i don't want chrome or anything fancy... i want it to look as "stock" as possible... almost like chevy brought back a k5 blazer and put a modern drive train in it.

Your best bet would be to buy the GMPP blower kit, it will come with all of the accy's.

I would NOT recommend putting much boost on a stock LS3 bottom end...it's already 10.7:1.

You spelled Camaro with an E.

I'm just gonna let evolution sort this one out for me.

IDK, look up the specs and do your own research.
You will learn more by reading and researching on your own vs. being told what to do.

it's pure laziness on my end.... i just want to build... not research =)

i guess i will just call gmpp and ask... or just ask my cadillac engineer buddy =) and make him find out... its the least he could do for me since i got him his stupid job back in the day! =)

i just want to order all my parts, pay for them and build... no brain required... it's for stress relief =)

why do you think i'm dropping $$$ on crate engine and trans when i could research and find and rebuild a used one...

Your Cadillac engineer would surely say "Use an LSA"

gmpp has the LSA as a drop in motor as an e-rod... that would solve my supercharger issues =)

http://www.chevroletperformance.com/...systems/#ls3_k

they dont sell the 6l80e trans with these drop-ins.

anyone know where to source the 6l80e trans and controller?

Re: LS3 crate motor accessories

Why not just buy a complete dropout? They're all over Ebay. Motor, trans, wiring - everything you'll need.

New or used? I want a warranty as well. I have never bought anything online except my xm

I'd rather cash and carry than ship and pray.

Re: LS3 crate motor accessories

I've bought probably 1/2 dozen LS motors out of wrecks. Never had any issues with any of them.
Chances are if they're coming out of a wrecked car/truck, it was running without issue when it was wrecked.
Most yards do offer warranties on their stuff.
