My Dad and I entered in a custom car show this weekend in Hollister, CA. There were about 30 custom cars and out of the blue we won second place for best exterior!

This car won best interior!
This paint job cost 10,000 and he won best interior! I think that is funny.

Gorgeous truck!!! Umm - in the pic called "My dad could not have been happier! Check this out!" your dad seems to have a few curves on his exterior that aren't factory. Are those bumpers stock?:p |

The guy that one first place came in about 2 hours late and almost crashed into another car when hedrvoe in. I think the empties (corona's) in the trunk had something to do with it. He was driving a 1962 Empala, it was purple with airbrushed crap all over it. He had hydos and the think sat on the ground. When they were anoucing the winner the guy wasnt even around. I didnt think his car was anything special and didnt even get a pick.
All I know is that I had the only truck in the show, and many more lookers than he did .

good job !! I missed the car show Our son was not feeling to good. But I am glad to here you got a 2nd. I also know what 1962 Empala you are talking about and it is not a big deal. Your truck looks better, period. One of my wife's friends was in the Miss Hollister contest and won 3rd and she should have won the show. I think it was a scam.

Congrats on the trophy!!! That has to feel good!!! All that work, and more people than just the members think it is great!! About your Dad and that trophy girl... It's a good thing it wasn't me! I'd have had my arm all the way around holding one of her trophy's!! You really should post a pic of the box floor for all who haven't seen it... it is my hope to have mine look that nice! I second Casey's request for the friend pic!!! We'll be impartial judges!! Really!!

If you have a new tailgate you will have to drill out the holes. I used my old tailgate to map out where to drill. As for the actual installation, my Dad did it. I think it was fairly easy..... I dont know the details.
