rear suspension question
I have a '71 K5 that needed rear wheel cylinders. when I went to change the left rear cylinder lo and behold the spring retainer plate was in three pieces. So I need to replace the left rear spring retainer plate. It is the plate that the U bolts pass through to hold the springs to the axle. Never had one break. I have not been able to find one. I checked parts houses even one's not dedicated to chevy's and blazers with no result. HELP!!!!

Re: rear suspension question
Hold the presses! Found a great set of 4x4 Rear Cast Iron UBolt Saddles at Manes Truck Parts, MO. Both Ron and Tracy were very helpful and....they had the parts. Wow! Soon "On the road again".

Re: rear suspension question
I would imagine they would make universal ones. You might could even get one at a trailer supply store. That's where I got my u bolts for my lift kit. I would try the classified section. That would be an easy part to ship and the guys on here are pretty helpful. Good luck.
