Cross country trip
Drove the 71 Jimmy from NC to WA a few weeks ago and I'm getting ready to head back.
Summary: 4100 miles- 2 weeks 23 stops for gas (also carried two 5 gal cans...just in case) 11 states, 4 national parks (stopped for a picture at every state line) New rear brakes in Colorado New alternator in salt lake city Top down whenever it wasn't raining and a hell of a good time

Now that's what I'm talkin about. Road trips are sweet, expensive, but worth it.
Where in Washington did ya head to? You were on a mission for something, what was it?

cool, road trips are fun.
I just got back from one 2400 milesand 6 states in 47 hours, boy was I tired.

I did something similar last summer in my 53 chevy wagon. Seattle to Spokane (for GG show) to Pleasanton (for GG show) to Charleston SC... It was a great trip, did a bonzai run from Pleasanton to Charleston in 48 hrs (clock time) because I was out of vacation time.... Best of luck on the return trip...

Ive been out here at Ft. Lewis with the Army for 5 weeks and I'm heading back. Did a lot to "prep" the truck for the drive and it seems to have worked pretty well. Lots o' gas $ though, but well worth it...
