GM part # help

While cleaning out my shed, I found a new in the box, GM turn signal switch.
Box is marked:
1-D6222
1997983 Gr.2.895
Switch DOT

Anyone know what vehicle this goes to? Or where I can check the PN to find out?
Thanks
Virgil

Either with the closest GM dealer or it goes with your truck

GM part # help

Virgil;

I checked my GM parts manuals and that part # is for 84 & 85 CK trucks - all models. My parts manuals only go to 85, so I am unsure about later model trucks.

Is it cruise/wiper/turn signal? If it is I'll take it off of you!

Tyler,
I don't THINK that it is. Actually, I don't ever remember having any turn signal probs with my 84-85 trucks. Only one I ever needed to change turn signal switch in is my 81.

How do I identify one with wipers, etc? I've never torn into a newer columns I have no clue what they look like.

Easy. Intermittant has a band in the middle for "infinate" adjustment of the wiper speed. Regular wipers have slow and fast. Other wipers are in the dash.

Tyler,
I think this is just a plain old turn signal switch, no wipers, etc.
