Re: truck mirrors
These aren't really photos of the mirrors, but you can get an idea what the below-eye-level mirrors look like on my truck.

Re: truck mirrors
I'm assuming you mean the "sport" mirrors? The 67-70 mirrors look really cool. You can use the small round mirror or the larger square one.

Re: truck mirrors
For the most in Parking Lot Machismo you can't go wrong with West Coast Juniors. Just don't try to get'em chrome plated.
Also I have a 5" diameter fish-eye high on the Driver's side, as a blind spot eliminator. Mine are mentioned in the SPID.

Re: truck mirrors
I'm also struggling with the choice of mirrors. It seems to be a subject that isn't on the site too much. Personally, I would like to see more pics so I can get the best mirror for my custom rebuild.

Re: truck mirrors
For factory mirrors on a '72 you had three choices. What you have are the standard no-option mirror, which folks here have given the name "sport mirrors". Like you,I always called them car mirrors because that's what they are to me. There are car mirrors exactly like these, but with slightly shorter arms. There are also dozens of other car mirrors from GM,as well as other makes, that are very similar. They look slick, and I like them on the right truck, but for rear view GM offered better truck mirrors. The second choice would be those shown by kcsa75,the Below Eyeline mirrors. The third choice would be what Steve Hafner showed,Camper Mirrors, that have upper arms that can be rotated out and mirror head flipped while a wide camper is mounted or trailering. Both the latter two styles were available painted white or in stainless/chrome combination.
