Color code wise- yes they are very similar. Location of connectors may be off somewhat, but should be doable.

Re: 68 wireing harnesse in a 65

The size/shape and location of the bulkhead connectors where the wiring passes through the firewall is going to be another significant difference to deal with.

65 has two round rubber grommets in the firewall for the bulkhead connectors. One on the driver side for the front light harnesses and another just off to the passenger side for the engine harness.

68 on the other hand has a larger square opening in the firewall directly behind the fuse box that allows the bulkhead connector (which is attached to the fuse box assembly) to stick through the firewall. To make the 68 harness fit, you'll have to cut a matching square hole in the firewall and plug the unused round holes where the 65 harnesses went through.

The only other major wire routing difference that comes to mind is the front parking/turn signals. They're in the grille for 68 as opposed to the hood for 65. That should be mostly a matter of unwrapping the harness, re-routing the parking/turn signal wires, and wrapping it back up again.
