Blue 72

Picked this one up Friday night, could be the one I keep and build. It is a 72 with disc brakes, a small block and a 4 speed. It needs to be cleaned up under the dash and underhood, cant stand those damned flex radiator hoses. It is a lot of fun to drive, going to change oil in it Tuesday and tinker with it some, I may hang on to it, for a while at least. Can't hardly stand that blue, I may have to do something about that next weekend.

Don't get me wrong. I have nothing against most shades of blue, this color just doesn't work for me.

Well, guess we are stuck with it for a while. Went and insured and tagged it this morning. Just did an oil change and am getting ready to swap in a new set of Autolites. Drove it into town while ago, it is a blast att he stoplights, especially second gear.

Re: Blue 72

Judging from all the blue overspray inside the engine bay, I'm guessing it isn't factory paint. That being said, it isn't too bad. I'd be more concerned with removing stuff like that hood emblem, useless mirrors, rear bumper, the after market gauges and birds nest of wires under it, etc.

Nice truck though. I like it

Man, you called that dead on. I cannot stand those useless peeps. The gauges have to go, or at least get cleaned up,, still deciding. I cant figure out the white heater box...

I may actually keep this one for a while. Drove it into town today and all my guys were digging it. Going to get a regular gas cap Wednesday, gotta lose the locking cap, flush the cooling system and replace the antifreeze. Just hitting the easy stuff this week.

I know. But, mild motor and generic radials should keep the breakage down,,, for now.

Re: Blue 72

Again, I have nothing against blue. It is just a little too "cheerful" for me. I am a little darker person, happy stuff confuses the hell out of me.

Look at the column, was it originally a 3 speed manual on column?
