GM Performance Parts Serpentine Belt Drive
GMPP serpentine belt drive kit part #12497697. This kit had the brackets mocked up, then removed and sent off for powder coating. None of the other parts have been used and are still new in the boxes. I have a couple extra pieces that will be included, a reverse rotation fan that has been powder coated black, and an extra left engine bracket. The extra bracket is used, but does not have the space for the smog pump so it has a little cleaner look over all. However, the powder coating on that piece did not come out as well as the others, it is grey like the others, but has a slight reddish tint to it. I don't think it would be a problem once it's installed if you decide to even use it. This is the kit with out A/C, if you want A/C simply add the compressor. $450 shipped
Here is a link to this kit at Summit, their price is $629: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/na...7697/overview/ Thanks, Greg |

Re: GM Performance Parts Serpentine Belt Drive
Curious, is there a dummy pulley/bracket where the AC would be? Good deal by the way.

Re: GM Performance Parts Serpentine Belt Drive
I will take it. What would the pick up price be and how do you want to be paid?

Re: GM Performance Parts Serpentine Belt Drive
I just saw that this is the metal kit for up to 86. I am looking for the aluminum kit which is what the guys at Old Air said the Sanden compressor will fit. They said if I wanted to go with the serpentine set up because the conversion bracket they have only works with the aluminum bracket. Do you happen to know what the difference between the metal and aluminum bracket is?

Re: GM Performance Parts Serpentine Belt Drive
twouvakind, yes, there is a dummy pulley that mounts in place of the A/C compressor.
TazmanB, this is the aluminum bracket set, the metal bracket set was used from 88 to about 92, after that they were this style. Sending PM with contact info. bertvert72, I can't go that low. |
