gauge cluster wont fit??
I recently puchased an 84 C30 and decided to replace all the gauges and gauge mount ( the bluish piece the gauges attach to) along with new clear lens and circuit on the back.I got it all together and it all went together without a problem but the bluish mount will not get close to where it screws in on the metal dash.the holes look right but i cannot get it through the metal opening because the mount seems as if it is to big.

Re: gauge cluster wont fit??
I do not know if your cluster housing (your bluish part) is aftermarket or not but I know my OEM one is a tight fit. Almost has to go in at a bit of an angle, I think right side first then left. It generally takes me a little finagling to get it in, the more I think about it, the more I think it's straight in at first then right edge and lastly left.

If I remember right the right edge of the housing goes behind the dash as well
