sublazer? blazurban?

I just had a great idea, why couldn't I take the roof off of a burb and make it removable like a blazer? I am sure someone must have done this before, anyone got a picture? Or could someone photoshop this for me? I know it wouldnt be easy but anything is possible..........

its possible to make the rear roof removable on a 73-87 suburban by using the blazer top.

That top would be pretty heavy and would need alot of extra bracing. I think there is a burb with the roof chopped off I saw a while back.

There was a 73+ Blazer on the cover of one of the 4x4 magazines a while back with the roof removed behind the rear doors. The guy had a custome soft top. Here is a 71-72 burb with the back top cut off that was in the top-truck-challenge (I think it won). A little beat, but tough looking!

I saw this idea drawn up in a truck mag a few years back. IMO it looked great and would be a killer project. You could use the back section of a burb cutting up till you got behind the rear doors, then cutting right behind the front driver and passanger door and bring these two pieces of body together. Pretty much cutting out the middle section. This would get rid of the point of using a blazer tub and selling it to me You also have to replace the rear light if you don''t liek the burb style.

If my computer hadn't crashed... A while back there was a 67/68 Suburban/Panel with the roof chopped, shaved and half restored on E-bay. It was from the London, Ontario area near me. I "had" a few pics but I think it looked a little goofy but if it was a 4x4 it would have been much cooler...IMO
