Slow brake pedal return.

I replaced my master cylinder, Power Booster and Proportioning valve with one from Inline Tube along with my rear disk conversion on my 72 K-20. While bleeding the system and fixing a few leaky fittings along the way i decided to fire up the truck and i pushed the pedal to the floor and it returned pretty slowly, much slower than with the old system, the vacuum hose is connected to the booster.

What would cause a slow return on the brake pedal?

It worked fine before the new parts were added.. And no i didn't leave a brick on the pedal But i will check the spring to see if its loose in the pedal.

I'm guessing now i'm gonna have to unbolt the master from the booster and pull it away a little and see if anything changes. I may at least be able to figure out if its a hydraulic problem or a booster problem?

Any other thoughts??

Re: Slow brake pedal return.

Bump and a question.

I purchased this proportioning valve PR102B from inline tube: http://inlinetube.com/Prop%20Valves/PR102b.htm

It does not have any kind of a button on it so i contacted them for a procedure on how to reset it, the sales guy was pretty short and didn't want to listen to my situation, just send me a procedure via email. In short the reset procedure is to mash down on the brake pedal and hold it then crack open the 2 bleeders that flow ok.

I need to backtrack and unbolt the master from the booster, Plus i already had to remove and replace a couple steel lines on the side that did flow as they were leaking at the fittings, will the Proportioning valve reset when the lines are unbolted?
