new to me 67

HI I just bought a 1967 c10 cst pickup. How can I tell which engine is in it?
Is there a way to tell without the block casting? The vin just says its a v8.

There are some websites that have the codes broken down that are stamped on the pad in front of the pass side cyl head. I think the easiest way is using the casting number behind the driver side cyl head.

The stamped engine code from the front of the engine will tell you exactly what it is. Those codes can be traced on NastyZ28.com
