What's the wheel base of a 67 crew cab long bed made out of suburbans?

For the people that made a crew cab out of a Suburban. What is the wheel base for a crew cab long bed truck. Did you use your suburban frame and lengthen it or did you buy a late 70's crew cab long bed truck frame?

I am just doing some research right now. I need a truck more than my suburban. So am just wondering about wheelbase and frames used.

Suburban frames are different in the rear section from pickups, so you'll have to take the back half of a '67-72 pickup frame and mate it to front half of the '67-72 burban frame.

Now taking a '73 up frame will create it's own problems, radiator mounts, body mounts, bed mounts all different. Fuel tanks will not work with '67-72 cabs (especially because of the fuel tanks and the cab mounts and floor pans are way different).

I suggest you keep the frame all '67-72 and minimize the problems, you'll have enough things to think about in the creation of a crew cab in itself.

I've done a lot of research on doing the crew cab creation and have started it but had to put it on hold till I complete a few other projects.

Thanks for the info. I know its a lot of stuff to do. My suburban is sitting on a 90 dodge one ton frame so I really don't have an option of using the suburban frame. I do have a 2004 dodge 2500 with a new cummins that I thought about using, but Starting with a fresh frame would be nice.

lots to think about. I also 68burbanontherocks said he would build me a custom tube chassis. lol
