Anybody know what year?
Anybody know what year this intake manifold is? The numbers towards the back are 3906393. It's off a sbc with a quadrajet # 17085230. I believe the carb is an 1985 maybe cadillac according to the numbers but I'm not sure. I'll try to post some pics. I can't get to the numbers on the back of the motor so I have no idea what year the motor is. This truck was a construction truck and hauled around a backhoe so probably went through many parts. Any help is appreciated.

Re: Anybody know what year?
your intake is a 1967 Q-jet intake. There should be more numbers with a date on it. Hope this helps..

Re: Anybody know what year?
TRy this to see the casting number!
Borrow a big hand held mirror from the Boss (wife). Don't tell her! Angle the mirror behind the valve cover. Shine a flashlight directly into the mirror. The area back there will light right up. Write down the numbers. THoroughly clean the mirror and return it, she'll never be the wiser!! LOL!! |
