Column Auto shift light
Hi Guys, I have a 70 c20 cst with a column auto and I need to get the light to work for the gear selector. I just noticed that the wire comes out of the column and feeds from the dash gauge cluster. Does anyone know which particular hole it feeds from in the cluster. Might save some time by not trying them all or just getting it right the first time. Regards Brad

It is not fed by a wire. It is a fiber optic system. The light socket that feeds it is on the left side of the speedometer. Maybe the bulb is burned out. The light sockets turn 1/4 turn to remove them then the bulb just pulls out. LockDoc

Re: Column Auto shift light
I had that question too. If I'm not mistaken, in my tilt column there is a little bulb fed by a grey wire. I have a tilt column out of '72 Blazer, and it was different than the fiber optic setup in my original straight column. any thoughts?

You are correct on that. It is tied in with the dash light circuit. LockDoc
