'68 Fuel Issue
I have a 1968 C10 with a 350 V8 and after it sits overnight the clear fuel filter between the carb and pump is bone dry. For some reason the fuel is running back thru the pump. Do I have a worn out fuel pump or is this normal?

Re: '68 Fuel Issue
I quit using glass filters on vehicles long time ago but as I recall this is normal.

Re: '68 Fuel Issue
Normal as far as I know. The fuel in your float bowls supply the gas for the couple seconds it takes for your pump to fill the line again

Re: '68 Fuel Issue
Pretty normal as mentioned above but just to make sure pump isn't leaking, look around the pump for signs of fuel stains and maybe check the oil to make sure there's no fuel smell. If you're having trouble starting in the morning, there may be other issues involved.
