LS powered C-10 --future turbo upgrade help needed

I've posted this in another forum with no replies maybe someone here can help
Here is my truck I converted in 09 I drive it most weekend but now I'm going to put a turbo in it the 5.3 is out of a 2000 Tahoe has a 4l60e question is I want it to still drive it without it being to radical I understand I will have to change injectors and down the track change the cam and other components but at the moment want to keep the engine stock until its time for the other mods are needed has anyone got a 73-87 c10 Ls turbo on here I'm running shorty headers on it now can I still keep the driver side one ? They are silverado summit truck headers factory fit headers what size turbo ? Waste gate ? Extra what size down pipe.? Can I use most of the available 99-04 silverado turbo kit on my truck ? Does anyone have parts forsale like the log manifold ..? Thanks

Re: LS powered C-10 --future turbo upgrade help needed

That's going to be sweet, I'm staying tuned to see it complete.

At one point in my build I was going to put an LSX 454 and have it turboed, was going pretty much the same route as you are, the shop I talked to here in Houston said that they would have to custom build the turbo as there's not a kit readily available for our trucks, so most of it would probably have to be custom work. As far as turbo size I think they were going to put a 67 or 68mm turbo didn't ask about waste gate or anything else.

I hope you find this helpful.

got to the ls1tech forums. Tons of info over there. I would spend a few days reading over there then start looking at parts. Plenty of people have done the stock 5.3 ebay turbo with good results and dyno graphs.
