Frame help!
Hello everyone I am new to the site. I have
A 1968 stepside I want to fix up, and a 1970 Donor. It has a leaf spring rear and disc up front I was gonna use on the 68. I'm wondering What year this frame is cause I'm aware that A 70 didn't come with this. Thanks for any Help. |

Re: Frame help!
here it is. Welcome to the board. If the brakes are original to the frame it would be a 71-72 frame. Leafs could be ordered on any truck.

Re: Frame help!
The way I understand it is that the Gmc's came standard with leaf sprung rears with coils optional and the Chevrolets and with coil sprung rears with the leafs being optional. I am sure some one will correct that info if it is wrong. Welcome to the site. Jim
