'65 Short bed chassis bagged with Porterbuilt
I was building a truck for a customer and he lost interested in the project. We striked up a deal and I ended up with the chassis. The plan was to find a clean truck to buy and build with this chassis but I have too much going on right now. Located in Lubbock, TX.
-The good- '65 short bed chassis '71 5 lug rear end (unsure of gear ratio) '85 front cross member, control arms '73-'87 3" Belltech drop spindles for 1.25" rotors New ball joints, new control arm bushings included but not installed New rotors, bearings, seals, dust caps, hardware Porterbuilt Stage 1 front suspension Porterbuillt Stage 2 basic rear suspension 2" drop blocks All rivets removed and replaced with 7/16" grade 8 hardware (to match Porterbuilt parts) -The bad- Cab mounts had some rust where the bushing goes, I have them but didn't install them. I wanted to find a cleaner set or fabricate some. They are definitely use able but were not up to my standards. No rear brakes I don't have a set of wheels for it. The Cragars were pulled off another build. I believe I have another set of steel 15" wheels so if purchased we would just need to figure something out on tires. Asking $2250 as is. That basically covers parts and makes labor free.

Re: '65 Short bed chassis bagged with Porterbuilt
I will keep an eye on this thread, if its still available after Christmas I will get in touch with you. Next time I'm in Lubbock I'd like to check out your builds bro. I'm trying to free a weekend up to weld up my Brother in laws ("107") 54 Truck, he lives there too.

Re: '65 Short bed chassis bagged with Porterbuilt
It wont fit, the suburban has a longer tail to the frame than a SB.

Re: '65 Short bed chassis bagged with Porterbuilt
Well I guess it wont work for you. I might end up parting it out if you want any parts off it? I am building another chassis for a local guy and I might be using the rear suspension on it.
