steering box
i just bought a 67 k10 stepside long box it has manual steering the steering gear box is worn out . i,m having trouble finding the right one. the output shaft comes out the side of unit not from bottom. maybe somebody can help me out. the body is from a 2 wheel drive. i,m not sure what year the frame is .is there any way of telling? how hard would be to convert it to power steering and how much would it cost?

67 and early 68 are oddball like that, youll probably just have to swap to late 68-up steering rod and steering box to make it normal conventional style like you normally see, if you look under some 4x4 in the 70s or 80s then you iwll see whT I mean,.

gunner99, I think I still have my stock manual steering box off my 67 K10 if your interested in it. Yes, it does come out the side and not the bottom.
