Re: Everyone should watch this video!!!
^ At first, I thought it was a woodstock video.
Notice the driver he zoomed on to... George Follmer is a retired American race car driver, and one of the most successful road racers of the 1970s.

Re: Everyone should watch this video!!!
I think I see more than 4, maybe 8? Some are hard to spot being in the distance. There aren't any older than 69' (the year the video was shot).

Re: Everyone should watch this video!!!
Cool little video, Thank you for the share. I've always enjoyed this vintage car stuff. Looks to be a combination of 2 events.
The first event is an SCCA Trans AM race called "Glen 500" held on August 10, 1969. The identifiable SCCA cars are: #16 (at 1:03 - 1:11) 1969 Boss 302 Mustang driven by George Folmer and owned by Bud Moore. The car started at # 2 position and finished all 117 laps finishing in 2nd place. #13 (at 1:03 - 1:08) Pontiac Firebird driven by Jerry Titus. Titus did not finish the race due to an oil leak. The car ran 0 laps and finished 31st due to the mechanical failure. The second event is the "12th United States Grand Prix" an FIA Formula One World Championship held on October 5, 1969. The Identifiable Formula One cars are: #2 (at 0:56 - 0:56) Lotus 49B R6/Ford Cosworth driven by Jochen Rindt and owned by Team Lotus. The car started in pole position and led the race for 99 of the 108 laps. Jackie Stewar in the #3 Matra MS80 2/Ford Cosworth owned by Team Tyrrell led the other nine laps but experienced engine trouble early and only completed 35 laps coming in 13th place. The #2 Lotus driven by Rindt ran the full 108 laps in 1 hour, 57 minutes and 56 seconds finishing in first place. #8 (at 0:39 - 0:55) Brabham BT26A 4/Ford Cosworth driven and owned by Jack Brabham. Brabham started in 10th position and finishing in 4th. #9 (at 0:32 - 0:36) Lotus 63 R2/Ford Cosworth driven by Mario Andretti and owned by Team Lotus. Andratti started in 13th position and finished in 17th place. Andratti completed 3 of the 108 laps dropping out after suffering suspension failure. #25c (at 0:59 - 1:03) does not appear in the event statistics so I don't know if it was a competition car. I was also unable to find any information on it from the 1969 F1 season either. Perhaps another may have more success identifying the #25 car. The newest car I could see in the video (at 1:12) is a 1970 Camaro possibly from the October Formula One event as new year model cars would only become available in September after the August SCCA "Glen 500" event.

Re: Everyone should watch this video!!!
oh yeah. The guy that created that online video made it from old 8mm movie film. He converted himself using DYI methods and it turned out really good. He added the soundtrack himself - since I'm guessing there was no sound to the movie originally.

Re: Everyone should watch this video!!!
I always thought it would be cool to get one of those old super eights and make home movies of our old cars and kids opening Christmas presents. There's probably software to convert new stuff but it wouldn't look right.

Re: Everyone should watch this video!!!
Looks to me like it must have been filmed during the bra burning era!
Cool video though. I must say people are much more aware of trash today than they were back then.

I liked bra less girl, am I the only one who noticed her or the only one immature enough to bring her up?

Re: Everyone should watch this video!!!
Wow! Great video! In the opening shot, there is a '69 Trans Am in background. There were only 697 of them built, so that's a car you rarely see in old videos.
Thanks for sharing!
