Yeah, I've replaced that bearing; G.M. was carrying that about 8 or 9 years ago- probably still are, if not I'm sure you can get it aftermarket. You'll notice after you replace that your steering wheel won't have all that movement in it anymore-much better

I replaced the bearing in the top of the column and I still have "play". Where are the ones in the lower column located exactly?

Brothers has it for about $15.
Be careful not to break the plastic carrier when removing it. It is real easy to remove the bearing assembly from the column but easier out of the truck. I searched and searched trying to get instruction on how to take a tilt column apart for rebuild but no one seemed to know or would help. It took me a while but I figured it out. If you need any help let me know, I will be glad to share what I learned.

Re: steering column bearings

I see you have the steering wheel bearing. Went into mine and it looks nothing like YouTube videos. Lots of grease with a lot of fillings.
Do lyou have a rebuild kit or just the bearing?
