Right length sparkplug wires?
Does anyone know of the right application to tell the AutoZone guy which will get me wires close to the original length. I have a 69 C20 with a 350 and the reason I ask is because I'm converting to a GM HEI and I thought I would just get wires for a 75 C10 with a 350 figuring they would be the correct length. Well they won't work. I guess I could get the cut to length set and make them the right length but I'm sure some of you have been through this already. Thanks for the help.

I got a set and just specified that they went over the exhaust manfold and not in between (headers) I cant remember the part number....they didnt have an original set lenght for a 72 (my truck)..some of wires are too long and some are just a tad on the short side...they seem to work just fine. But I would love the info also if anyone knows, it would just look better if I had some proper length plug wires. Maybe a NAPA or Carquest could have a good answer.

I had the same problem. But the guy at my auto part store helped me figure it out. I got a set of wires for a 77 big block 454 they work great..These wires gave me the extra length i needed. I hope this helps..

Thanks jostrans68,
I went and bought the 75 Corvette with a 350 wire set and they have enough length to run under the ramhorn just like I wanted. I did look at the 77 454 truck wires but I didn't like the routing especially with the throttle linkage to deal with. The Vette wire are actually a little longer than the originals. Longer is way better than to short.
