Panhard/trac bar length issue question.
Dropping my '68 step, 5" springs in rear. While installing the cpp deluxe trac bar kit , got the lower bracket mounted to the right trailing arm, shortened the bar as much as possible, but still about 2 inches too long. Can't shift the rear over to the right any more as then the driveshaft hits the cross member. Measuring the bar, jamnut to nut it's about 36". When I measured my buddies, who apparently has the same kit, his measured 32". Cpp offered no help as even though it's their kit, I bought it through brothers. Did I somehow get the wrong bar even though the paperwork and instructions in the box says it's for a 67-72? What gives?!

Call Brothers, that's who you bought it from so they should be able to help.

x2 call brothers they should be able to get the right one. Wouldn't be the first time the wrong bar was sent in the correct packaging!

It sucks not being able to hear! LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB! After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |

Yep, call Brother's. They are responcible for the parts they sell, no matter who the manufacturer. If it were me I would go to the super pan hard bar kit anyway and see if they will give you credit for the one you got. WES
