Re: Mirror Question ??
The stock position for the passenger side mirror puts the viewline in the middle of the wind wing pillar. JMO, but the mirror is almost unusable in that position.
Would love to hear alternatives to that position/mirror for the passenger side. regards JohnG |

Re: Mirror Question ??
I used the measurements from the factory assy manual thinking I couldn't go wrong just like your question. (maybe a misprint in the book?) And ran into a limited vision also. Knowing what I know now a helper and a verification behind the steering wheel is definitely in order for it to really be anything but eye candy on the passenger door.

Re: Mirror Question ??
Somebody at Chevrolet figured out the issue with the wing vent by '72 On the driver's door the center of the first hole is 6-7/8 inches from the front edge of the door. On the passenger side, it's 8-3/8 inches. Sorry for the crummy photos.

Re: Mirror Question ??
Found an older thread with some factory prints and pics that shows GM moved the passenger mirror farther back in 1972.

Re: Mirror Question ??
Thank you for the info. I also see that the back hole is kicked up a little.
