big thanks to ryan (67ss396) and will (smokie55) for comin over yesterday to help me fandangle it in. it went in pretty easy with no big problems.

as long as it dosne't blow up or eat the cam on start up then it was worth it

if it does i most definatly will have a nervous break down and you will probly never hear from me again

I see you used Head Studs Ryan, how do you like those? I'm thinking about using Studs on my next motor, simply to make the install of the heads/gaskets easier.

Damn is all I have to say. That is sweet. I love the pulleys. I wish I could run those but they don't make anything to where I can use the smog pump.

Can't wait to hear how it performs.

The problem with using head studs in most vehicles is that once the engine is installed, you can't remove the heads because a brake booster or other obstruction is in the way.

Something to keep in mind.

the head studs were pretty easy to use, but bolts are easier. the reason i used them was because thats what kim barr of kim barr racing engines recomended that i use because of the thin wall between the cylinders and keepin heads gaskets sealed. if i do blow one it is gonna be a pain gettin them off in the truck.

I had a great time helping you get it installed! I had brought my digital camera and had planned on taking pics, but forgot all about it.

On the engine stand that thing looked like it was cranking 7K! It is gonna be really sweet once it's running. I can't wait till Sunday. I wish I had a way to record the sound and put it on the net, that would be too cool. I like the pulley set up you went with, that looks killer. On a side note, I hope to the the '67 new tags tomorrow and plan on bringing it by Sunday so you can see how the Aerochambers sound.

The oil pan is a Moroso 20200 7 qt. I have the same pan and there is no problems with clearance.

mike is right about the pan. no clearence problems. the majority of the extra capacity is from the side sumps so its not that much deeper than stock. i think like 3/4 inch deeper. it still sits above the crossmember.
