Lower a-arms
Okay, everyone probably knows that I'm looking for lower a-arms. I have a pair of 1970 gmc c20. Someone says they won't work and honestly I don't think they will either. But I've got to make sure because they are very nice and I need them. Do they need 3/4 ton ball joints or would i need a complete 3/4 ton tie rods, ball joints, and steering components? They would be going on a 1971 chevy c10 non power steering

Re: Lower a-arms
The bottom Ball Joints are bigger. They will not fit the C-10 spindle. The other items you asked about [the Tie Rods] it doesn't matter because they have nothing to do with each other. I have heard and read on here many times that the 68 lower control arms[should be 68-70] will allow a man to put 88-98 LD2500 3/4 ton[with the 7200 GVW package] spindle and by using the 88-98 Upper and Lower Ball Joints [they will bolt in the top and press in the bottom with no mods]that will allow the use of the rotor and caliper of of the same 88-98 truck. It is a 6 lug pattern. so in doing that a man can use factory parts and have factory disc brakes for the 68-70 C-10. Using parts that are pretty inexpensive. Jim
