Stock tail gate on skin it ??
I've got a perfect tail gate for my 67 ! And I also have a skin to go over it to match the hood ?? Louvers in it like the hood has !?! What is others thought on this ??? Stock or skin ???

Don't be afraid to go against the grain if louvers are what ya like, but I love the look of the stock tailgate. Could probably be easily reversed if you change your mind later..

I personally do not like the louver look. But, it is your truck and your choice. Now, that being said, I have to say I agree with black_sheep454. It seems like a shame to re-skin a perfectly good tailgate. You could probably find another gate to work on, sell your tailgate, and have a re-skinned gate and some cash in hand!

My Blazer had a louvered skin over the tailgate when I bought it. It collected dirt and moisture between the two and started rusting from the inside. I wouldn't do it.

I have an Original tailgate with some minor damage that would be good for a skin. If you were closer I would be open to trade...

Thank you for sharing the dirt between them !! Thank u !! I'm like most or all of you the more I think about it I think the stock tail gate is so nice I think I will go that route !! And who needs dirt causing rust !! Thanks guys That's the reason I ask !!
