WTB: 63-66 4 speed column Switch housing

Hey guys - kind of a weird request, but here goes - on 63-66 GMC trucks, if you buy an aftermarket turn signal switch that switch will be made to fit a Chevrolet switch housing - the Chevy and GMC steering columns look and operate identically, but they are not made 100% the same - so when you try to screw down on the new switch using a GMC housing, the housing will cause the switch to crack because from the factory the two switches were not made in the same shape so neither were the housings.

So, I need to find a 63-66 Chevrolet 4 speed steering column switch housing off someones' junk column if anyone has one laying around. Will pay a good enough price to make it worth your while. Shipping will be to Arab AL 35016 so if you have one, send a total w/ shipping figured in please. Thank you!

Re: WTB: 63-66 4 speed column Switch housing

OK so today it finally donned on me - the switch housing is no different between a 4 spd and a 3 speed on the column - its the upper shift collar that is different - so all I need is the switch housing off any random 3 speed or 4 speed column....the switch housing is the part that the switch screws into after you pull off the steering wheel.

Re: WTB: 63-66 4 speed column Switch housing

Don't take my word for it, but I think a '63 turn singal switch will work in the '66 GMC. I don't have links, but I went through this before and have some print-outs from the 6066 GMC Fourm regarding this issue. Try a search over there......
