Well since I have been absorbing so much information from you guys I felt It was time to join and introduce myself. My name is Chris and I live in Spring Hill Florida. I just purchased a 67 small window c20 I am cutting down and converting into a short bed. This will be my first truck build, I usually play with muscle cars so I am looking forward to something different. Yes she is ugly but yes she was cheap and complete.

Planning on making a very clean daily driver and lowering with a 4/6 or 5/7, not sure but maybe a LS swap. right now I am just trying to figure out how to convert the front end to c10 and which way to go.

Anyways, thank you guys for all your knowledge and willingness to share it!

One more thing, this c20 had a fleet side with a tire mounted in the fleet side, I can not find any information on this and the fab work looks way too nice to not be factory. ill attach a pic, any information about the bed would be greatly appreciated!

I have never seen nor heard of the built in spare carrier like that, it has to be someone's handy work.

.. There are two ways you can go with the front end swap. You can swap the complete front cross member with any '67-'87 front cross member or swap "A" arms/spindles. I can't remember all of the details off the top of my head but I know on the '73-'87 front cross member swap you only have to drill one hole and enlarge another one a little bit. I know there is a thread on that because I posted pictures in it. Let us know if you have any questions.
