Finally some pics
I picked up a 68 a few weeks ago with a 400sbc. Super straight body no rust but it had a blown head gasket. I replaced all the gaskets and then realized that the started was melted and the fuel pump was bad. Replaced those to find out that the carb was puking gas. Put on a spare carb and nothing yet. Probably a spark issue so I will dig into that this weekend.

Re: Finally some pics
With that small rear window, the truck (cab anyways) is a '67.
Nice looking truck. I would love to get another '67 small window.

Re: Finally some pics
Fenders and cab are 67. Small block 400's were notorious for blowing head gaskets, something to do with the water jacket reliefs. You might want to search that up in here before you get to far.
Welcome aboard.

Re: Finally some pics
Didn't know that with the cab. Good to know. As far as the steam holes I checked those and made sure they were correct size and everything. The motor is all stock but I think who ever did the head gasket last covered the steam holes. Thanks for the info guys love learning about these trucks.

Re: Finally some pics
Finally got it running this weekend. Had to change out the trans pan and and some fluid. Took it around the block. Runs really good. Next is a radiator flush, a rewire and gauges.
