Power steering pulley question
I am adding power steering to my 250. I have all brackets and pulleys aligned except for the actual ps pulley. I have 2 different ones. One is too deep, the other is too shallow. The shallow one is 1 1/4" overall depth, the other is 2". Both hit right in the middle of the other pulleys. I need one that is 1 5/8" thick.

Re: Power steering pulley question
It would have to come out flush with the end of the shaft to line up. No threads are left for the nut.

Re: Power steering pulley question
I had this same problem with my 250 PS.I got to looking and when I took it apart and painted everything,I put spacers in the wrong places, where the pump mounts to the bracket.I can't tell which are where from your pics.Just a possibility I'm throwing out.I've seen at least two different set-ups for pulleys/brackets and some that were hard to tell since they weren't all there.Mine was off about a half pulley when I first tried it.

Re: Power steering pulley question
Hey70ShortStep just wondering any luck with the P S and how's the alternator lining up. My six cyl brackets are a little different they came off a 68 GMC but was lucky to get everything, My pump pully is different then the two your showing mine V-ss in a little. Is your set up stock off another truck or all piece together. Like mention maybe spacers. I got pic's on my phone need the wife's help to get them on here or I could e-mail if it my help. Nick

Re: Power steering pulley question
Nick, I found a pulley on the parts board that is 1 5/8 thick. I am waiting on it now. I am hoping it will solve my problem. I bought the pump and pulleys from a local guy who has a lot of parts for our trucks. It came with a double ps pulley. Neither groove line up. It was the same thickness as the deep single pulley I have. I will post update when I get the new one in.

Re: Power steering pulley question
Looking at this picture to me anyway it needs to be shimmed on the back side to straighten it up to the crank pulley. It looks as though it would line up if shimmed on the back side mounting spot.
