Help - Pulling Motor and Tranny
Guys I have everything disconnected and tried to pull the motor and tranny tonight. I cannot seem to get the tranny to separate from the transfer case. My questions are:
1. Do I have to drop the transfer case 1st? 2. If not do I take the cross member under the tranny off? 3. I took off the 8 bolts that connect the tranny and transfer, were those the correct ones?? |

Re: Help - Pulling Motor and Tranny
I work alone and I find that taking the transfer case down first is the easiest for me.

Re: Help - Pulling Motor and Tranny
It sucks but that's how i did it...... without a tranny jack, all i had was a little floor jack and a few blocks of wood, not helpful at all, i had to strong arm it down onto my chest then to the driveway, that bugger was heavy! I don't recommend that method..

Re: Help - Pulling Motor and Tranny
I used a motorcycle jack for a tranny jack when I did mine.
