Cool Looking for classic Rally wheels for a c1500

I have a 95 c1500 that is currently lifted but soon to be lowered, I like the classic look of the old chevy rally wheels such as on novas, stingrays and c10s. But I can't seem to find much of a selection for the c1500 trucks. Any recommended sites or retailers? I really am looking for black ones with chrome rings but I'm not against painting them either. Thanks.

That's a pic of when the previous owner had it. It now has 18's, but I still have the steel rallies. They're 15x6 up front & 15x10's in rear. The drop in this pic was approximately 5/7, possibly slightly lower. The previous owner raised it up to a 4/6 to make driving a little less complicated.

Re: Looking for classic Rally wheels for a c1500

Yeah I like the steelies but am looking for a more of a deeper rim. U don't happen to know what's the deepest I could run on the front? I know too deep and it will rub and have issues. I saw these on another post that's what I'm trying to find.

check out this thread:
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ghlight=wheels

probably no more than 8" up front, & that will depend on how low & what size tire...I think those were available in 7", which might work better up front. Not sure if it's the post you saw, but there's a link to another truck with these wheels in that same thread link I posted above.

Summit Racing....Wheel Vintiques. These are 16x7's, with a 4-inch backspace. I used old school trim rings, but there are others available. It's been a couple of years since this pic was taken and I replace the police caps with Monte Carlo derbies. My truck has DJM dropped spindles on the front. You have to be careful or you'll have the tire contacting the inner edge of the top of the fender. These tires are 245-70R16's.

Those look real nice. How much of a drop do you have in the front?

Re: Looking for classic Rally wheels for a c1500

It's got a 2-inch drop up front, with a 4-inch drop out west. I also added BellTech upper shock mount relocators and BellTech (dropped) shocks in the rear. Front shocks are from Bilstein, and are stock length, but waaaaaay better than stock.

No, I'm actually about to use them on my Tahoe. After having the old tires removed, I discovered the rear wheels are actually 8", not 10" like I was informed. Gonna have them painted & get new tires. I picked up a new set of center caps at Charlotte AutoFair a couple weekends ago.

Are you looking for a staggered set? If so, I'll keep an eye out.

Yeah 8's and 7's. That is what is on my 94 now in a truck rally. I tried 6's on the front but it has a 5/7 drop and was a beast to drive with the skinny wheels up front.

hmmm...now you got me wondering about mine, lol...I have 6's for the front, but I haven't used them since acquiring the Tahoe. I'm at a 4/6 drop. What size tire did you have on them?

Re: Looking for classic Rally wheels for a c1500

I went with a 235/70/15 up front and a 275/60/15 in the rear. I wanted them both the same height. Both sizes are 28" tall. The 235/70 will work on the 6"or7" rim and I can tell a big difference in how it handles with the 7's up front. Here is a good link for tire calculations. http://tire-size-conversion.com/tire-size-calculator/

Yep, that's the exact sizes I was planning to use. I already calculated & have begun pricing tires. That'll also allow me to keep the speedo pretty accurate. Now you've got me questioning the 6" wheels though!
