cMe's C-10
I've longed for my chance to start a build thread and the day has come... Well kind of. I had 1969 truck that only needed a cab replacement given to me by my uncle. As we all know that story. One thing leads to another which leads to more rust which leads to the frame off restoration. Well midway through the cab being finished I became irritated with the direction in which it was headed so I started shopping. Over this past weekend I picked up this unfinished project from another board member and I have begun putting it back together.
Truck is painted, although it will need a few spots retouched after installing everything I'm sure. Has Ride Tech E1 kit, C-notched frame, Bucket Seats (for Sale) One Piece Windows. Boss 338 Wheels 20x8.5 front. 20x10 rear Never turned a wrench in my life, so there will be a lot of questions coming from this camp in the future. Here are a few pics when I picked her up. The bed is not bolted so yes I know it doesn't line up properly. UPDATE 08/12/18: Four years of sitting we are finally getting around to making some advancements. After years of talking and watching his work, I finally got the pleasure of meeting "THE HART_ROD" needless to say Rob is a stand up guy and I think his work speaks for itself. So I decided to leave her in the hands of Rob for a bit. Below is a list of some of the goodies. 6.2/6L80 LS All new accessories L76 intake and injectors Long tube ceramic coated headers with 3" ceramic coated exhaust and mufflers Dual pass aluminum radiator with 16" electric fan 23 gallon custom fuel tank with in-tank pump Porterbuilt powder coated stage 3/2 2" dropped spindles power rack and pinion firestone bags 9 inch ford with new 3.73 gears and posi (narrowed to 50.5" to accommodate 15" wide wheels) Front and rear 14.5" rotors with Chrome Brembo brakes One piece 3.5" drive shaft Dual pass transmission cooler SS Battery dropout box QA1 Billet double adjustable shocks Ride tech Air ride with dual compressors and level sensors stainless air lines, brake lines, fuel lines 18 circuit Painless wiring harness Polished Ididit tilt column with dress up kit and SS steering joints 4" raised bed, wood bed kit, stainless strips with hidden fasteners, Custom rear tubs Flip down tail light gas fill

Good looking truck. I like where you broke the paint line for the two colors, I wanted to two-tone mine but couldn't come up with a good place to brake it.

I'm thinking about adding an off white pin strip between the two colors. I took some autozone stripping and laid it on the bed last night. I love the way it came out so I may have it hand painted. Or I could lay the vinyl stripes on it and save a few bucks. That way I could remove it if I ever wanted to.

Re: My 68
Got some parts in, goal this weekend is to get bed mounted, tailgate installed. Grille trim, headlights, parking lamps etc. all bolted on, and work on finishing my drivers side window.
Will order hush mat sound deadener to do cab and doors, and hopefully fuel cell from Boyd's welding. Any advise on tailgate install is welcomed!
