Re: Is this K5 worth the asking price?

If I ever get another rig it will be one of these. There getting hard to find in this shape. Looks clean in the pics, I would go over it very carefully to verify the no rust claim.
That thing packs a ton of fuel, probably rides nice with all three tanks full. Not crazy about the two tanks being inside though.

Re: Is this K5 worth the asking price?

It looks like a clean, mostly original Blazer. As for what it's worth, that's in the eye of the beholder. Anything is worth exactly what someone else is willing to pay for it. Having said that, I'd have a hard time parting with $24k for a Blazer, even though I love mine.

Re: Is this K5 worth the asking price?

Id say no. For that price id want complete , correct original. This has incorrect (albeit nice) ralley wheels and a stroked engine . Maybe if the interior was the original white it may sway me more.

Re: Is this K5 worth the asking price?

I'm not considering buying this K5 but it seems to me that prices are on the rise as illustrated here. For the cost, I would like to see it more original and complete than it is. Price seems too hefty by about $10k assuming it's really clean under the hood. Here on the forum we constitute a sort of "market" so just curious what the market here would bring for this rig as shown.

Re: Is this K5 worth the asking price?

A 1971 with no AC brought 27K at the Meccum auction in FLA look it up online. My collector car friend at the auction. Said that people have soo much money and that are throwing it at these cars they have made it almost impossible for the average american to own a collector car

Re: Is this K5 worth the asking price?

Seems like clean 66-77 broncos have traded in this range for some time. And given the fact that they produced almost three times more Broncos than Blazers, as well as that in my opinion the Blazer offers so much more...they should be priced here and have been undervalued for years. Nice to see them finally getting some well deserved appreciation. Just my .02

BTW-priced out a 2015 Tahoe...and it looks like those are coming in around 70k fully loaded!

Re: Is this K5 worth the asking price?

It looks really clean, but not to the standard of a 25k blazer IMO. I'm sure they may have that much and more into it, but we all know that what its worth rarely amounts to what we throw at it. There was a blazer in my area last year that was on craigslist for at least 6 months. It was an all original 2 owner from the hubcaps to paint and interior. The price got as low as $15,000 and it didn't sell for quite sometime if at all. It was a beautiful blazer.

Re: Is this K5 worth the asking price?

I'd say worth at least 17-20 gs. Real clean and well done blazer. Those tanks are aftermarket hickey enterprise tanks. Stock from the dealer. Looks to be done and no rust issues. Just need to see it from underneath to get a better idea of rust or any real issues. The price is definitely going up on our blazers the last couple years.

Re: Is this K5 worth the asking price?

That is not a bad blazer but I have see some recently that I think are better and more original for about that price. If I had 25K to spend on a blazer it wouldn't be that one.

You could buy a $2,500 k5 and build it nicer than that one with a 25k budget.

Re: Is this K5 worth the asking price?

I think it's a nice looking truck. If I was in the area and was looking for a Blazer I would go look at it. We all know that it does not take long to have that much money tied up into our trucks.

Re: Is this K5 worth the asking price?

Nice, but not 24k nice IMO.

Wasen`t sure at first, but after the second round of pictures, no way in hell I`d pay anything over 15k for that Blazer...... but thats just one man`s one too many opinion from looking at pictures only!

Re: Is this K5 worth the asking price?

Got to agree with most of the posts. See its missing a tach too. Looks to be more around 15k but as was said before its worth what someone is willing to pay. And I have seen trucks in the same cond. as this for lots less. IMO

Re: Is this K5 worth the asking price?

I was at the Mecum Auction in Kissimmee a couple of weeks ago.. alot of non tradional vehicles were going for higher prices.. especially first gen Bronco's and Blazers..Probably were 5 times as many people there than it was 4 years ago when I went last.. so I would say with Mecum's popularity on the rise..the vehicles there went a little higher than they should..I've got about 16K in mine so far.. with about 6 months-1year left in restoration.. I can tell you from experience, the main concern I would have would be rocker boxes and interior body panel rust.. that has cost me the most...just my experience anyway.

Re: Is this K5 worth the asking price?

yea I've got at least 25k in mine and still not really done. It's always in need of something. (Have a rollbar to install and want to attach the new 5 point harness to it and need the crossbar welded on.) If I sold it today I'd be lucky to get 20k so some people don't get you can't get every $ you put in to them but then again " it's only worth what some ones willing to pay"...............

Here is one in Colorado Springs, CO. Looks pretty nice I think the price is closer to what it is worth especially if their is some wiggle room.

Does look clean - wonder what happened to the vent window screws? Bondo'd over?
