Lowering the rear suspension on a 3600
49 3600, 3/4 ton 8 bolt set-up is now gone....Changed to Must II IFS - The FE is done, except for final height adjustment.
Now we are removing the RE and replacing it with a 74 Nova 3:73 Posi. Only looking to drop between 1-2 " in back. Seems to be trial and error...Would you remove a leaf, de-arch or get new? Does anyone start with an eyelet to bottom of spring bundle measurement and go from there? |

Re: Lowering the rear suspension on a 3600
Well...apparently no interest in this problem... BTW, putting the axle on top of the springs lowers the truck more than we want...

Re: Lowering the rear suspension on a 3600
When I swapped my rear end out, I pulled about 3 leafs plus the helpers. I think it came down about 3".
Just depends on the condition of your leafs. Make sure they aren't broken, cracked, or too worn out. |
