I'm going to do my own work on the air ride. I found a supplier for the kit in Arizona, they were very helpful. Pro Performance, helped me figure out the right application for my needs.

Re: 71 chevy pu air ride
I'm in Eugene and just installed a "kit" from Borris on here way2lo2 back in December. He has a thread on the install of his kit and with basic knowledge, it's easy peasy install. Same set up in front and if you have leaf rear, its just as easy with a flip kit and some shackles and hanger relocaters ( did this on my old 71). PM me to call or come up and I can walk you through it. I did 4 disc brakes, master, all new lines, drop spindles, air ride complete in 3.5 days by myself. if you broke it up, it could be done in 2 weekends.

Re: 71 chevy pu air ride
I've got a 4"-6" static drop with coils and all the proper lowering geometry. It rides good now , but like to raise it a little to get into my driveway and drop it at shows, I don't need it to sit on the frame. I think I'm limited because of my wheels and tires- 20's with 275-45 frt. 285-50 back. Will bags work?
