My axle centerline
I installed my mustang ii front end. Axle is 1.75" forward of original. This is at ride height w 18" wheels. I think this is good. Thoughts?

as someone has said, you need all the weight on it with the final tire/wheel choice and at final ride height to properly determine if the wheel will look centered, as the suspension compresses there is a slight rearward arc (more or less depending on type of suspension)

Or of course if you know what the final height will be you can pull the suspension down with all thread in the shock location. I have done that before. So the truck could be brought outside to check it out. This is something so many people miss, roll it outside and take a look after a mod so you get a good look at it.
In this photo I have no engine in it. I used all thread to replace the shocks and pull it down where I wanted it. The rear is too high because I didn't do that but only removed the wheels and had the frame on shortened jack stands at the height I was going to have. Brian

If you don't have it fastened in yet I think I'd slip it back 1/2 towards the rear and take some more photos.
I agree with Ogre on waiting buying or installing dropped spindles. It may be money you don't have to spend and it only takes a couple of hours max to swap both spindles if you do decide to go to dropped spindles. Brian showed what getting it right is all about in his photo of his truck. Those wheels are perfectly centered front and rear and really add to the looks of the truck in the process.
