What is this? Water Pump ports.

Pulled the water pump off the 5.3 I'm swapping into my '79 and found this inside the block. It definitely looks broken. Does anybody know what this is? I just hope it didn't find its way into some place it doesn't need to be.

It's not broken Bluebomber. That's the way it's supposed to look. During reassembly of the water pump, make sure you remember to use your gaskets.

Gotcha. It just caught my eye and I figured I would just ask. Thanks!
