Blazer bedside repair
Just wondering if there is a good write up out there for using swb box sides to replace blazer bedsides.

I did my drivers side a couple months ago. If you search there are a couple others who did it. Try `new life for an old farm blazer` or something like that.
Mine went good, here are some pictures. The only real issue I had was some metal not quite lining up on the curves at the seam. I will take a finished picture tonight and post it. Hardest part was doing the gas hole. The whole process went so smooth that I wished I had done it long ago instead of playing with patches and dents. I wish I bought the passenger side too so I can have perfect metal on that side. Its really quite easy, take the old one off, cut front off new one a little bit at a time until you have a nice match and weld.

And this is what I spent a few years and a couple hundred hours trying to get perfect (to which I came close) before I gave up and went with a SWB side

Here is the finished product. You can see at the top where the replacement bedside didn`t have enough metal to match up to the old piece. I tried stretching it but thats all I could get it to move.

Do you need to section/shorten the area between the well and the tail, or is that area the correct length for a Blazer?

Not sure what company it is ( there's several that are mentioned on this web site ) maybe Brothers or LMC but someone is now selling replacement bedsides for the Blazer now. Hopefully someone will chime in with that info. Sure would be a lot easier if that's the case. IMO

Yah you can get those from Bow tie truck stop in MN. I was on the waiting list for them months before they came out only to learn that the company producing them would only sell in pairs.
I decided to go with a short bed side an am glad I did in the end because IMO it was a lot easier to replace the outer skin versus taking the entire bedside off. If the inner skin isn't it good shape it would make sense to replace the entire thing with a blazer bedside. There is also a large price difference between the two
