New Wooden Bed

Has anybody installed a new wooden bed in a 8' stepside? Does the truck bed have to be removed? mine is rotted out. Thanks in advance.

Re: New Wooden Bed

Ive only done 6'beds but it is much easier to pull the bed to replace everything. The front head panel has to come off to get the wood in correctly.

Simple to remove with you and a buddy, or lift it and drive out from under it. .Disconnect wiring and gas tank.

What year truck?
