72 C-10 build up.
Well I got the new project pick up today.
13 hours on the road to go pick it up and bring it home. Known issues: power master cylinder leaks, won't hold a charge, & both wing windows need to be fixed. Here is a picture the previous owner sent to me: I also have a 71 C-10 that is an almost twin to it in color, but it's in far worse condition than the above pictured 72. But it does have alot of parts that I will be pulling off of it to put on the new 72. Wheels... has 15" x 8" ralleys on it now. I like them, but they need to be media blasted/powder coated and new tires. By the I do that for a few more benjamins I could have some 17"/18" aluminum wheels on it... I will eventually put an LS into it, not sure how soon though. Oh ya, only options: PB, PS, & Factory cab lights. Will post up some better pictures soon, we are expecting 2"-6" of snow tonight. L8R |

Managed to get the cab all cleaned up and took some pictures:
Factory U01 cab lights: Build sheet: ETA: the outside is filthy due to the snow/slush road trip across the state during the snow storm last weekend. Waiting for the weather to warm up before I get carried away working on this C-10 L8R |

Re: 72 C-10 build up.
Sent out the wheels to get media blasted and powder coated.
Had new tires put on & I already ordered the new center caps. I do not have any history on the suspension work done on this truck. It is definitely lower than factory… but I do not know by what means. There are no lowering blocks in the rear, but I think a flip kit was done. The front I have no idea if it has drop spindles or lowering springs. I want to go 2" lower than it is right now, all the way around. Oh ya, I already swapped out that nasty dented up tailgate since the pics were taken. Thanks. |
