Electronic Flasher ground

I got an electronic flasher because I am going to be switching all my lights out for LEDs and I was just curious as to where everyone has grounded out their flasher?

Re: Electronic Flasher ground

All flashers I have used don't need to be grounded.

I grounded mine to the screw that holds the fuse block to the firewall.

Re: Electronic Flasher ground

"Question? 'Where did u get your elect. flasher from, and does that cure the blinker issue? I have already purchased the LEDs to go all the way around, but have not got the flasher resistors yet because I did'nt like the idea of putting a in-line resistor on all 4 blinkers. I have the full LED taillights installed already and the blinkers just go bright and stay that way until I release the turn signal lever. I have been searching for a "flasher", or "relay" to fix the issue "all in one" and I hope this is it. John

Re: Electronic Flasher ground

I have looked at that before and there's not much in the detailed description of it. I wasn't quite sure if I still needed the resistors at the turn signals due to the lower voltage. Thank you for answering my question, I'll be ordering it Friday. When you mount your ground, if you could post a pic or too it would be great. On another note: I see your down in Anne Arundle county area, I'm about 30 mins NW of you, just over the Carroll/Baltimore county line. If you need an extra hand anytime, just PM me , I'd be happy to help fellow board member. John

Re: Electronic Flasher ground

As far as I know you don't need any resistors using that flasher.

Its always good to see another Maryland member on here. I'm not sure if you know about the Maryland section on here but its a great way to find local events.

Re: Electronic Flasher ground

There's a Maryland Section??? WOW I'm still learning my way around on here, love the site, lotsa great help and everyone I've chatted with has been very nice and helpful. If its not too much trouble, could you guide me too this Maryland Section. oh I asked a fellow restoration tech about the flasher, resistor question, he said that the flasher is all we need, it does the job of 8 separate resistors

Maryland section: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/f...play.php?f=116

The electronic flashers are plug & play. There's no need for any additional grounding or relays. Simply remove the standard flasher, plug in the electronic flasher.

Easy peasy, bosom squeezy!

Wink Re: Electronic Flasher ground

When I went full LED's I had to get the grounded flashers so they would work.
Mine is grounded to the bolt to the left of fuse block. I think it's for the e-brake in my 71. I can snap a picture tonight for you.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
