Re: Dome light door switch?
pretty sure you just need to drill a hole in the door jamb...
edit:not to be smart..initially when i read it thought you were looking for a factory mounting hole. they mention there being a threaded spot for them..not sure if its there on trucks that didnt come that way from the factory though http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=464925 Last edited by Drewski23; 03-12-2014 at 11:15 PM. |

Re: Dome light door switch?
Ware did you run the wires? Did you drill a hole in the kick panel to run the wires in?

Re: Dome light door switch?
thats not my truck im not sure what they did. id guess they drilled a hole high up in the kick panel or if you dropped a fender you could go through the other side. I just went out and looked at my truck..doesnt seem to be too many options there otherwise

Re: Dome light door switch?
No holes to drill! You only need a ground wire and it will come out the same hole that is used to route the wires to the rear of the vehicle. Lots of info on this in the electrical section, especially the wiring diagrams and where to tap into to get power to the courtesy lights.

Re: Dome light door switch?
I used a two prong on/off toggle switch mounted in existing hole located in lower area of dash on driver's side of steering column. just wired the existing dome light ground wire to one prong and a wire to a good ground to the other prong. flip on as entering truck and flip off when driving away. may not be the perfect set up but, works for me.
