Oil Sending Unit Socket

What size of socket fits the oil sending unit? This is for the non-guage, type.

There are special sockets for these. If its not overly tight you can use pliers.

Wrenchbender is right. I would go ahead and get the special socket. They are only a few bucks at the parts store. Even though you might get the old sender out with pliers, they could crack the new one when you install it. The ceramic top where the wire plugs on breaks very easy. Ask me how I know.
