best way to remove front suspension

I have brand new front suspension, brakes, wheels and tires... I decided I'm going to do a frame off so that stuff all has to come back off.

Is there a way to take off stuff as big units rather than taking it all apart.

Im thinking can I remove the upper and lower control arms where they attach to the cross member? Im worried about the spring but I think Id be able to leave everything attached expect maybe the drag link?

any ideas? Im lazy and dont want another box of 900 parts to be put back together.

Re: best way to remove front suspension

DO NOT do it like that, you need to have the truck supported under the lwr control arm and separate the lwr ball joint from the spindle then lower the control arm with the jack(after the shock is removed) and release all the spring pressure, then you can remove the spring, while your at it separate the upper control arm and you can take the spindle right out of the way, then the control arms can be removed.
Doing it the way you are thinking May get you a trip to the hospital

you can unbolt the crossmember and take the whole thing out as one unit

Re: best way to remove front suspension

i was thinking about that and may still do it, but I need to clean and paint the xmember as well. at least that would get it out of the way so I can get the frame cleaned though.
