New bumper and carpet

Just finished installing ACC floor and tank carpet....picked it from Frank at Pickmup....I had leftover quietwalk (lowes) sound deadener and vapor barrier from when I had hardwoods installed and used it throughout the truck before laying the carpet....it's quiet....I like it....

Also replaced my bent bumper....wire wheeled my license frame and painted it...looks good....all done yesterday.

Looks great. How thick is that quietwalk stuff? And do you think it's better than the black sticky stuff?

hmm - i am curious --- could anyone tell me --- how would this sound-deadener rank against the sound deadener you would buy from a stereo shop? do you think they would have the same effect? do you think one is cheaper than the other?

just curious --- was plannin a project for august.

thanks! jewels.

The quiet walk is cheaper but does not have any of the hard rubber, tar material in it. It was designed to go on top of sub floor to insulate it for laminate and hardwood flooring...it keeps the foot noise down on the floor....we used it and I just happened to have a roll in the garage left over....I think it was $50 or something for a roll....Lowes carry's it.

Thanks Dan.....check out my other post today on the 345's....what a mess!!

How did the ACC fit? did you get the 80/20 nylon loop or newer material?

It fit okay...I think it was the 80/20.

If I had the $$$ I probably would have had a customer carpet done instead.
