1954 Chevy 3100, 2001 S10/15 GMC Sonoma Long Bed
I have been hovering around for a while and decided to try my hand at posting my project. You guys do some great work! So, don't laugh because my welding looks like goose poop. The project is a 1954 3100 Short Bed and a 2001 GMC Sonoma Long Bed. I started the project about 10 years ago but got very sick and had to put it away. I have made up my mind to finish it, if for no other reason so they can bury me in it! LOL
First I needed to build a few tools and devices before I got started. Rolling Fold Down Plasma Cutting Table Adjustable Top Welding Layout Table That allows The Plasma Table To Roll Under It. And Floor Anchor points Since My Driveway is Very Steep I can Hook a Cable to them and lower the Frame or Cab out on to the Driveway without it running off! |

The Style of truck I'm Thinking of building is like the truck called "Snake bit".
Sort of a corvette with a big trunk! LOL These are pictures of where I'm at as of now! |

Trying to make it look like a racing truck, with a front dam spoiler and instead of running boards I was thinking about ground effects with the exhaust tips exiting on the sides. Not sure about it, but I'll try. Also I will modify the front grill quiet a bit. I'm working on a 3D model of the truck to test my designs and I'll post them when I come up with a good design.

Ok, I started this 10 years ago so don't start throwing rocks, because it will have a lot of billet and stainless steel. I was building a different type of truck when I first started but, now I want something a good bit different. This is the style of seats I will use minus the headrest (don't like them sticking up above the back glass) and of course the fully dressed 500hp, 400ci SBC engine.

Re: 1954 Chevy 3100, 2001 S10/15 GMC Sonoma Long Bed
I really could use some help from the smart guys on here! I have inner fenders, but I think they are for 1947-53 AD trucks and I have a 1954 AD. Will they work or am I going to have to build my own? Also please look at the pics of the clips to hold screws around the hood latch/radiator cover and around the front of the front fenders! Does anyone make replacements for these? Most of mine are broken or missing. I would be thankful for any help you could give...
